Dear Parents and Guardians,                                                                         

     As spring approaches, it is also time to start thinking about PSSA exams.  The Department of Education has scheduled the exams to begin in mid-March through April.  Fifth graders will begin the testing with the PSSA writing exam during the week of March 11^th.  All Holtzman Elementary students will take the Reading and Math exams beginning April 8^th.  Finally, 4^th grade students will take the Science PSSA exam the week of April 22^nd.  Specific schedules will be provided as the time for the assessment nears.  As always, it is important to establish good habits of rest the night before school, in addition to a good breakfast in the morning.  Finally, please be sure to plan out-of-school appointments around the testing dates as test make-ups always create a challenge for the school and most of all, the students. 

Spring Picture Day is scheduled for Monday, February 25^th.
