POLICY

ATTENDANCE OF BOARD MEMBERS AT CONFERENCE  

School Board Members are encouraged to attend seminars, conferences and I.U. conventions that are held for the purpose of providing training for more effectively doing the job.

            1. The Board may authorize attendance so long as no individual attends

                 more than two conferences per year in addition to special seminars

                 arranged for board training.

            2. Individuals attending may be reimbursed for all receipted expenses

                 such as travel, lodging, meals, registration fees, and other incidental

                 expenses provided the Board has authorized attendance in advance.

3. Mileage expenses will be paid at the rate determined by the IRS.

            4. The Board may authorize advance payment based on estimated

                 expenses provided that any adjustment made be based on receipted

                 bills at the completion of the convention.
