    POLICY

    APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND EMPLOYMENT
    REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PERSONNEL

     

    APPLICATION PROCEDURE

     

    All persons applying for regular, part-time or supplemental positions with the school district must complete the employment application provided.

     

    A resume prepared by the prospective employee may be submitted with the application.

     

    Applications will be held in an active file for 1 year after submitted in complete form. At the beginning of each fiscal year (July) all applications that are more than 1 year old will be removed from the file and discarded. Applications can be kept current and in the file by notifying the superintendent’s office annually of this desire.

     

    When an opening occurs, the applications in the file will be carefully reviewed and considered by the appropriate supervisor. At that time the applicant may be contacted for an interview.

     

    EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

     

    No person may begin employment in the school district unless he or she has provided proof of a negative tuberculin test and has had a medical examination.

     

    The person interviewing the prospective employee should be provided the original of Form SP 4 – 164 required by Act 34 indicating the absence of a criminal record. A copy will be made by the interviewing administrator who will sign the copy indicating he or she has seen the original.

     

    In addition, the person interviewing the prospective employee should be provided the original of Form CY113 required by Act 151, indicating clearance of child abuse. A copy will be made by the interviewing administrator, who will sign the copy indicating he or she has seen the original.

     

    Applicants for professional positions must provide a copy of the appropriate certification to the interviewer.

     

    Official transcripts with the seal of the institution/s of all educational preparation must be provided for the employee’s personnel record prior to employment with the district. If the employee leaves the district, a copy of the transcript will be made for the file and the official transcript will be returned to the employee if so requested.

     

    Day-to-day substitute teachers shall produce an original transcript to the personnel office, a copy of which shall be retained in the employee’s personnel file.
