POLICY

 MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS FOR SCHOOL EMPLOYEES

 

 

All teachers, custodians, cafeteria staff, and all others employed by the School District shall be required to take a pre-employment post-offer medical examination, the results of which shall be recorded on forms prescribed by the Secretary of Health and shall be made available to the School District.

 

The school board may require a special physical examination for any school employee at any time, if job related and consistent with business necessity or if required by federal, state or local laws or voluntary examination conducted as part of employee health programs.

 

Health records shall be confidential and subject to disclosure only as specified by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

 

The school nurses are delegated responsibility to insure that these requirements are fulfilled and all forms have been properly completed.
