• What is a Kindle?   The Amazon Kindle is a handheld device similar to a book, without the back-lit screen of a computer monitor or cell-phone, to give the feel of reading paper.  

    Who will use these Kindles? All Staff, and students*.

    How do I obtain a Kindle? Training sessions will be held every Thursday during the Kindle
    first 10 minutes of lunch and the first 10 minutes of AAP.  Every student MUST attend
    a training session AND have a signed permission slip
     

    Notable Highlights: 

    Kindle battery life lasts one month.

    Readers can easily change the size of text, and words per line, for easier readability.                     

    Text-to-Speech features are available for many books.

    To increase recollection, users may bookmark, highlight, and note in-text.

    *Students must have a signed contract from a parent regarding circulation policies in order to check-out a Kindle. Also, they must attend a 10 minute training session on proper Kindle Use.
