PINK OUT Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign


The students from Susquehanna Township School District and Bishop McDevitt High School, in partnership with the Susquehanna Township Alumni Association are working together to raise awareness for breast cancer. The Annual PINK OUT event will be held at Roscoe Warner Field on Friday, October 25th during the home football game versus Bishop McDevitt High School.


The campaign also includes the "Bowling against Cancer" event at ABC North Lanes on October 13th and Crunch Fitness (Harrisburg) Day on October 27th. 


Money raised during this year’s event will be donated to two charities: Vicki’s Angels Foundation and Pink Hands of Hope.  T-shirts, candles, and sponsorships are still available. Vickie's Angel Foundation is a New Cumberland based non-profit with a mission of helping families fighting cancer who have difficulties paying their bills during the challenging times of fighting their cancer. Vickie's Angel Foundation’s goal is to take away the financial worry from the family, providing a temporary bridge that allows them to focus entirely on beating their disease.


Pink Hands of Hope is a Mechanicsburg non-profit dedicated to helping Central Pennsylvania women as they fight breast cancer.  Pink Hands of Hope raises money through monetary donations and through their thrift store. Offering wigs, and other products needed while in the fight for free.  Pink Hands of Hope also assists with medical bills and offers clothing.  The thrift store helps fund the various projects and products offered.
