Communications
Susquehanna Township School District is committed to open communications with all our stakeholders. We understand that maintaining meaningful two-way communication is essential for building and maintaining relationships, which is the foundation for our school district. Communication is a part of every job in our district. The district's Leadership Improvement Model is the guide used to ensure that stakeholders are at the center of every decision and that communication is the critical component necessary to achieve strategic goals and objectives. We believe that meaningful stakeholder engagement supports the district's goals, is the responsibility of every team member in the district; and helps to achieve the success of every learner.
It is the goal of Susquehanna Township School District (STSD) Communication Team be the official source of information for all things related to STSD. The reality is that the emergence of social media has provided a platform, at times, for dissemination of inaccurate, incomplete, and emergency information and serious incident-related rumors from unofficial sources. Unlike anonymous and/or unofficial sources, the STSD is obligated to investigate a matter as thoroughly as possible, provide due process to all involved, ensure notification of parent(s)/guardian(s), work with law enforcement and emergency and serious incident response personnel, and ensure student privacy rights are not violated (especially when minors are involved).
