Mrs. Scarnati's First Grade - Room 206
Degrees and Certifications:
Hello First Graders (and Families)!
Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!!
My name is Mrs. Scarnati and I am your new teacher. I’m really excited about this school year! We’re going to have a lot of fun as we learn and grow together!
Here is a little background on me…
This is my third year teaching first grade at Sara Lindemuth/Anna Carter, and I know it’s going to be an awesome year!! I grew up near Pittsburgh and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I began my teaching career in Maryland where I taught for 8 years and was both a kindergarten and second grade teacher. While there, I continued my education and received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
My husband and I have three children. We have a daughter in fourth grade, a son in third grade, and a two-year-old boy as well! I enjoy playing sports and board games with my children, reading, and r going to amusement parks! My favorite sports teams are the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers.
When I was in school, my favorite subject was math. As your teacher, my hope is to make sure you love coming to school each day! I want to help you feel confident in yourself and your abilities, help you make lasting friendships with your classmates, and make sure you have fun while learning new things and doing your best!
