Welcome to the Susquehanna Township School District! Of all of the districts in the area, we are honored that you chose us. We have very high expectations for your student(s). Every learner in the Susquehanna Township School District is expected to come to school ready to learn, demonstrate safe and respectful behavior, and work diligently to make the district, their families and themselves proud. Registration Requirements

Registration Requirements For All New Students

The District cannot finalize a student registration or enroll a student in the District without all required documents. If you are unable to upload the required documents online, please contact the District Registrar to schedule an appointment.

PROOF OF CHILD’S AGE

Any one of the following constitutes acceptable documentation: birth certificate; baptismal certificate; notarized copy of the record of baptism or certified and showing the date of birth; notarized statement from the parents or another relative indicating the date of birth; a valid passport; a prior school record indicating the date of birth.

HEALTH DOCUMENTATION

Certificate of immunization must be provided. A detailed list of school vaccination requirements for attendance in all Pennsylvania Schools may be found below. Please also provide a copy of your child’s physical exam and dental exam.

PROOF OF RESIDENCE

ONE ITEM REQUIRED – Residential documents that establish Susquehanna Township Residency:

Any one of the following constitutes acceptable documentation: deed; mortgage; signed lease/rental agreement; municipal and/or school taxes or proof of payment; signed agreement of sale for the purchase of a residence or residential unit; signed contract for the construction of a residence within STSD with a copy of the building permit and/or other applicable permits.

ONE ITEM REQUIRED – Identification Documents that establish Susquehanna Township Residency:

Current Pennsylvania State issued driver’s license; Pennsylvania State ID card issued by PennDOT with your current address; Pennsylvania automobile registration; current utility bill (cell phone bills will NOT be accepted); current credit card bill or bank statement; current check stub from wages, public assistance, social security, or other income. NOTE: multiple occupants will need to provide two items from this list at the time of registration.

MULTIPLE OCCUPANTS – Multiple occupancy is when one or more families are living within the home of a Susquehanna Township resident.

The multiple occupant family member and homeowner must be present at the time of registration. The Multiple Occupancy Forms must be completed by the homeowner at the time of registration. In addition, the homeowner must provide residency and identification documents (please see above). Please contact the District Registrar with any questions on your residency status.

IEP/SPECIAL EDUCATION DOCUMENTATION (if applicable)

If your child(ren) has an IEP or any special education requirements, please provide that documentation at the time of registration.

GUARDIANSHIP DOCUMENTATION (if applicable)

Please provide a current copy of any custody orders. If you are the designated guardian for a child, a Guardianship Affidavit must be completed, signed and notarized and submitted to the registrar either in person or by email.

Online Registration

Susquehanna Township School District is now using the Infinite Campus Online Registration Tool, an easy to use, secure, online registration system. Once the online registration process is completed, families will be contacted by the building secretary to receive scheduling information. A checklist of all required documents can be found below and on the pages that follow.

Kindergarten Registration

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATON

Your child must be at least 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024 to register for kindergarten

Kindergarten registration MUST be completed before Thursday, July 25, 2024 to receive transportation for the first day of school and to attend kindergarten screenings. Staff will not be able to accept registration materials during the screening appointments. During your appointment, parents and children will have an opportunity to meet with staff and tour the building. Screening dates will be posted soon.

Kindergarten Registration Parent Letter

Dear Families,

You have received this letter because you are a resident of Susquehanna Township. If your family has a child who turns five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2023, please register for our full-day Kindergarten program at Sara Lindemuth/Anna Carter Primary School (SLAC)! If you do not plan to register your child(ren), please contact us as soon as possible by calling 717-657-5100 ext. 50141 or 717-657-5122. In addition, if you know of another family that may be eligible for kindergarten at STSD, please feel free to share this information.

Online Registration Information:
The district uses Infinite Campus Online Registration Tool, an easy-to-secure, online registration system. Online registration for incoming kindergarten students will start on March 1, 2023. Scan the QR code or visit www.hannasd.org/reg for a quick checklist to help you organize your documents. When you are ready to begin, click “ONLINE REGISTRATION” to get started.

If you have any questions during the online registration process and need help, please contact the District Registrar at 717-657-5100 ext. 50141 for assistance. Contact SLAC Principal, Mr. Andrae Martin, for questions regarding orientation or screenings, at 717-657-5122.

In-Person Registration Appointments:
In-person registration appointments are available by appointment only at the STSD Administrative Office, located at 2579 Interstate Drive, Harrisburg, PA, 17110. Please call the District Registrar at 717-657-5100, ext. 50141, to schedule your in-person registration appointment. Kindergarten registrations will NOT be accepted after September 11, 2023, without exception.

Screening Information:
Kindergarten screenings are the second part of the registration process and are required as part of the registration process. The screening appointments take approximately 30 minutes and will be used for classroom placements and academic programming in the fall. During your screening appointment, certified school personnel will assess your child’s ability to count and compare numbers, recognize letters, produce letter sounds, write their name, draw a person, and correctly handle a book. We will also look at social interactions between your child and other adults and children.

Once your registration is complete, please call the SLAC office at 717-657-5122 after May 31^st to schedule your appointment. IMPORTANT: kindergarten registration MUST be completed before Tuesday, July 25, 2023, to attend kindergarten screenings. Staff will accept registration materials during the screening appointments.

Kindergarten Screening Dates, Times, and Location:
All kindergarten screening appointments will occur at SLAC, located at 1201 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17109.

Disabling Pop-Up Blockers

Choose an internet browser for instructions:

Chrome

On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More Settings.
At the bottom, click Advanced.
Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.
Click Pop-ups and redirects.
At the top, turn the setting to Allowed or Blocked.

Edge

Open Microsoft Edge and navigate to Settings and more > Settings > Privacy & security.
Scroll down to Security.
Switch Block pop-ups to Off.

Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer, select the Tools button, and then select Internet options.
On the Privacy tab, under Pop-up Blocker, clear the Turn on Pop-up Blocker check box, and then select OK.

Firefox

Click the menu button and choose Options.
Select the Privacy & Security panel.
Under the Permissions section, uncheck the box next to Block pop-up windows to disable the pop-up blocker altogether.
A click on Exceptions… opens a dialog box with a list of sites that you want to allow to display pop-ups.
The dialog box offers you the following choices:
1. Allow: Click this to add a website to the exceptions list.
2. Remove Site: Click this to remove a website from the exceptions list.
3. Remove All Sites: Click this to remove all of the websites in the exceptions list.

Safari

Click the menu button and choose Options.
