Our District
Susquehanna Township School District is comprised of five campuses, an administration building, two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. STSD is unique in that the school district and municipality share the same borders.
Our Community – Susquehanna Township
Susquehanna Township is a diverse community with established businesses and a progressive local government. The township is continually working to create a sustainable environment that balances economic growth with the need to create and maintain a business-friendly environment. The location and people make Susquehanna Township a great place to live and an even greater place to do business. As a first-ring suburb of the City of Harrisburg, Susquehanna Township offers a variety of opportunities to live, learn, work, and play.
Location
Bordered by the Blue Mountains to the north and the Susquehanna River to the west, the Township is bisected by two major transportation routes: Interstate 81 which runs east-west through the Township and State Route 322 and the railroad tracks, which extends north-south. In addition to the proximity to Harrisburg (a city undergoing revitalization), we are within an hour drive of Carlisle, Hershey, Lancaster, York, and Gettysburg. Regionally, we are in a within a few hours’ drive or train trip to several major cities including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.
