USDA Free Summer Meal Extension for ALL Students

 Changes to our Pick-up Bagged Meals Program

 

Susquehanna Township School District has been approved to feed students FREE breakfast and lunch while they are in school and at home during online sessions. The USDA has extended their approval to serve students free meals for the entire 2020-21 school year through all summer Food Service Program and Seamless Summer Option meal waivers

 

Free Grab-and-Go Meal Information: 

  • ARA and HCA families would like to request 5 days of meals please complete the form
  • Open to ALL children 18 and younger regardless of school district of residence, as long as they haven't received meals from another district. 
  • Children do not need to be present or attend the school to pick up a bagged lunch.
  • Masks should be worn when picking up meals and/or approaching the distribution areas. If walking, practice social distancing at all times and follow CDC recommended hygiene practices.

 

Pick-Up:

Fridays from 3:00-5:00pm at Susquehanna Township High School ONLY 

 

Free Meal Applications:

Families are still encouraged to complete free and reduced meals application if they haven't already done so. Families may apply for free or reduced price school meals online by going to the COMPASS website at www.compass.state.pa.us or click here

 

Parents and Guardians are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible. Paper applications may be mailed to Susquehanna Township S.D. Food Services Department 3500 Elmerton Ave. Harrisburg, PA 17109 or dropped off at the meal pick-up.
